The Bold Exterior of the 2025 Silverado 1500

The new 2025 Silverado 1500 is similar to its 2024 counterpart, with a few minor changes to its exterior, its driver assistance technologies, and more. If you want to see this truck in person, and you’re near Escondido, Carlsbad, or Vista, then you can stop by Premier Chevrolet of Carlsbad today.

  • The New 2025 Exterior: Four colors have been removed from the new 2025 Silverado 1500, including Dark Ash Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, Harvest Bronze Metallic, and Glacier Blue Metallic. In exchange, the truck receives two new body colors: Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue Metallic. The LT Trail Boss trim also gains 275/60R20 All-Terrain Blackwall Tires as its standard option, with the ability to swap to the available LT275/65R18C Blackwall Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT Tires. This trim also includes a standard spare 255/80R17SL All-Season Blackwall Tire. Finally, if you equip this truck with a spray-on bedliner, you can expect to have a Chevrolet Bowtie Logo on the back wall.

A Look at the Advanced Systems on Board

While the cabin might be the same as the 2024 model, there are a few changes to the driver assistance technologies on board.

  • Your Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: The 2025 Silverado 1500 gets rid of the Rear Park Assist System. The only trim to have this feature for 2024 was the Silverado 1500 ZR2. In exchange, the new 2025 Silverado 1500 ZR2 sports Ultrasonic Front and Rear Park Assist as a standard feature. Additionally, the 1LT, 2FL, 1SP, and 2LT trims gain the Trailer Brake Controller as a standard feature.
  • A Better Work Truck: If you’re adding this truck to your fleet, you’re likely opting for the Work Truck (WT) trim. Originally, Cruise Control was an available feature for this trim, but it now comes standard. When you or your employees are putting in miles on the highway, you’ll be able to take a breather while this system keeps you at a steady speed.

The Silverado 1500’s Mechanical Changes

Below, you’ll be able to read about the mechanical and package changes for the 2025 year.

  • Mechanical Changes: The 2025 Silverado 1500 now gains the Universal Vehicle Module. The 10-speed Automatic Transmission also sees a few changes, as the 10-speed Automatic Transmission (M12) now requires the 4WD 1WT Crew Cab model, while the 10-speed Automatic Transmission (MQP) now requires a 4WD model. As for the 5.2L EcoTec 3 V8 L84 engine, E85 FlexFuel Capability now requires the 4WD 1WT Crew Cab model.
  • Changes to Packages: The Dark Appearance Package is no longer offered to the Custom trim, while the Fleet LT Trailering Package and Fleet Safety Package are deleted.
