2016 Chevy Impala – A New Model For A New Era

This New Model is Not Your Mama’s Impala:

Introduced into the Chevrolet lineup in 1958, the Chevy Impala has been available to four generations of drivers. It has been a popular choice as a top-end passenger sedan and became the best selling automobile in the United States in 1965.

Over the decades, the Impala has evolved from a behemoth road cruiser to a more compact and sporty full-sized sedan. Today’s model is packed with technology that would astonish designers of the original models. With an 8-inch diagonal touch-screen to access information and entertainment, voice command via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, 4g LTE Wi-Fi connectivity for up to seven devices and RemoteLink that can lock, unlock and start the vehicle from a distance, this Impala would have been considered more “spaceship” than an automobile.

The Impala continues to be a top seller for Chevrolet. With a muscular stance, wide wheelbase and sculpted aerodynamic lines, the new Impala is a no-nonsense vehicle. Its athletic exterior is perfectly paired with a choice of two powertrain options that offer intelligent efficiency and aggressive performance. For those who want to maximize gas mileage, a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine delivers an estimated 22 MPG city/31 highway. New Impala owners who prefer a more powerful engine, will enjoy the available 3.6L V6 engine with direct injection, variable timing that delivers 305 horsepower.

As with all new Chevrolet vehicles, the Chevy Impala is built with a full suite of advanced safety features that monitor, identify and alert the driver to road hazards and potential dangers. A 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the NHTSA and 10 standard air bags ensure that the driver and passengers will be protected in the event of an accident. The Impala’s OnStar response system also ensures that help will arrive quickly after a collision occurs.

Convenience features found on the new Impala include heated and ventilated seats, hidden storage compartments in the dash, truck and umbrella pockets, a high-tech Bose audio system as well as acoustic-laminated glass and triple-sealed doors, to eliminate unwanted road noise. Like its predecessors, the Impala still comfortably seats five and is offered at an equally comfortable price.
